This study day was held at South Square, Bradford.
It was a different study day in that there was a very practical element to the day. We spent most of the afternoon focusing on drawing still life sketches, taking seven minutes over each one. This felt like a long time for the first couple of drawings I did but by the fifth drawing it really didn’t feel like any time at all.
I was the only textile student there amongst the drawing and illustration students. It was interesting for me to see how they worked as they chose to try to capture all of the still life that had been set up, while I chose to draw only details or small parts of the still life.
